Six months after the European Commission ruled Apple’s terms illegal under the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the European Publishers Council (EPC) warns that the app ecosystem remains unfair. Joined by a broad coalition of developers and consumer groups, the EPC has expressed strong objections to Apple’s continued non-compliance.

Despite the formal ruling against the company in April 2025, Apple’s revised terms still include prohibited and exorbitant commission fees. The signatories are urging the Commission to take immediate, decisive enforcement action to ensure a truly competitive digital market.
